Eat, sleep, repeat

Antigua is home to a vibrant food and music scene. With an abundance of marine life, Antigua has a range of restaurants serving the freshest seafood and fish, alongside Caribbean kitchens and grills and a range of world food restaurants including Thai, Mediterranean, Japanese and more.

Whether you want to experience the best traditional Caribbean roadside cafe or dine a la carte, our House Director can recommend the best places to eat, drink or dance the night away, making all the necessary reservations for you and your guests.

To give you a little inspiration we have put together a list of our must-visit restaurants and bars on the island.

SUNSET DINING

Perched atop a rocky cliff on Antigua’s west coast is the must-visit restaurant in Antigua.

Spend a leisurely evening watching the sunset, eating tapas and drinking rose at Sheer Rocks, part of the successful Rocks Group.

For the ultimate sundowner, why not hire one of their day beds, draped in linens or take a dip in one of the two superb cliff-front plunge pools before returning to Pearns Bay House for a nightcap.

LEISURELY LUNCH

Catherine’s Café can be found along Antigua’s southern peninsula at stunning Pigeon Point Beach.

This much-loved gem is tucked into the corner of sailor’s paradise, English Harbour, a hub for all things nautical, and a worldwide destination for sailors. Paying homage to its French roots, Catherine’s Café channels the iconic Parisian café scene, with a relaxed, beachy twist.

The beachfront venue offers classical French cuisine with Provence-style influences and local ingredients, capturing the essence of what dining ‘sur la plage’ is all about.

The modern, healthy, and stylish menus are based on the freshest native produce from local farmers. The bespoke cocktails and popular gin & tonic menu perfectly complement the food and stunning views.

LUNCH LIKE THE LOCALS

With beautiful views across the sea, this fabulous beachfront cafe is run by a former Swedish model (Cecilia) and her host of animals. An eclectic array of wooden chairs and comfy sofas are set out on the deck with easy access to the soft sand below.

Guests can chill in the sun with easy listening jazz, R&B, soul and Cafe del Mar playing in the background as they sip on something cool and refreshing.
The food is inspired by a whole host of European flavours from duck-leg confit, veal Milanese or fresh ravioli.

EASY SUNDAYS

A former military lookout and gun battery, it’s easy to see why they converted this colonial building into the must-visit bar and cafe.

Famous for their Sunday evening soirees, Shirley Heights offers the best sunset views on the island with English Harbour looking ever so pretty, all lit up from below.
From 4 pm every Sunday, you can enjoy a barbeque, drinks and local bands playing a mixture of local and international music – all overlooking one of the most stunning views in the world. A firm favourite with locals and tourists, it’s the perfect place to end your week with a bang.

FIRST-CLASS DINING

Situated at the highest point on Sugar Ridge, with floor to ceiling windows, Carmichael’s offers guests stunning views across lush vegetation and the Caribbean sea beyond – perfect for sunsets and stargazing.

The menu offers first-class dining, using the island’s freshest seafood and seasonal ingredients with a Caribbean twist. Signature dishes include Lobster medallion and Caribbean Bouillabaisse.

For an outdoor dining experience, they offer a ‘Sunday chill’. Small plates are served poolside with music for a perfectly chilled way to end the week.
